George Balderose is a Highland Piper who performs and teaches throughout Western Pennsylvania and the Tri-State Region. In 1980 the Clan Donald Educational and Charitable Trust awarded George a Fellowship to study piping in Scotland, and in 1981 he received the Senior Certificate from the College of Piping in Glasgow. He has also studied piping in Ireland. George performs in concert with champion Scottish and /or Irish dancers or as a soloist, and has appeared at numerous festivals, concerts, college and university functions, theater productions, weddings, birthday celebrations, parades, funerals, and other occasions that can be enhanced by the music of a well-played bagpipe. As a piping competitor George has competed in Scotland and is a multiple winner of trophies at US Highland Piping Competitions.
