The wedding industry in the United States is a booming business that, in spite of ever-changing trends, continues to grow. It is estimated that the industry generates over 60 billion dollars a year, with the average amount spent on a wedding in the U.S. approximately $22,000.

Before the wedding:

  • In the process of wedding planning, brides place the highest priority on their attire, followed by the choosing the reception site and the caterer.
  • An average of 5 percent of the total wedding budget is reserved for wedding entertainment.

At the reception:

The entertainment that is chosen for a wedding reception is responsible for 80% of the event’s success.

81 percent of guests attending a reception say the thing they remember most is the entertainment.

After the reception:

72 percent of brides wish they would have spent more time choosing the entertainment for their wedding reception. The number of brides that say they would have spent more on their entertainment is close to 100 percent.

Within one week of the wedding reception, 78 percent of brides say they would have made the wedding entertainment their highest priority.
